Building upon an existing, highly skilled and successful team we are looking for people to join us in a development environment that emphasizes creativity, collaboration and product ownership.
As part of the ongoing growth there is an opportunity for a Product Owner role in the Edinburgh office. This role will involve working with a number of development teams involved in delivering our strategic Connections and Marketing solutions.
Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility
The Product Owner is:
- A co-located, highly available product representative who is there to provide constant feedback to the teams
- Empowered to make product decisions
- Responsible for removing product related impediments by clarifying requirements with internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible for creating and prioritizing the user stories in the product backlog
- Responsible for synchronizing with other product owners and product managers within the portfolio
- Responsible for making sure technical and business requirements are captured and prioritized correctly in the product backlog
- The interpreter of the vision from Solution/Product Management
Desired Skills and Experience
Required Experience and Competencies
- Experience providing leadership in a software development environment
- Experience of Agile development frameworks and best practice specifically around the business analysis responsibilities
- Strong analytical and excellent problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal English communications skills
- Internally motivated, self-starter with ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities to meet goals and achieve results.
Desirable Experience and Competencies
- Experience of a Financial Services focused environment
- Experience of scaled enterprise agile approaches (SAFe, Less, DAD)
