Alan Eaton

Alan joined NCR in December 2015 as a Senior Storage Systems Engineer. He graduated from University College Cork in 2008 with a degree in Computer Science and moved to Scotland in 2012 because the weather wasn’t rainy enough in Ireland!

Alan comes from a Storage Background and specialises in NetApp Storage, and enjoys bringing his wealth of storage experience to NCR. He has also been impressed by the friendly atmosphere and general positivity in NCR since he started his role and appreciates that there is plenty of opportunities for training in areas’ that may interest him. He enjoys the fact that no two days are the same in NCR and gets great personal satisfaction from the diversity of the role – whether that is from being able to troubleshoot issues on our Storage Estate to being able to shape the future of the Storage Estate going forward by giving his valuable input.

In his spare time, Alan likes playing and watching football, spend far too many hours on his PlayStation and going on long weekend breaks to see different parts of Scotland. And working in the heart of Edinburgh is always a bonus for him to discover nice places to eat and drink after work on a Friday afternoon.
