Fabio's journey in computing started in his early teens, when he thought that C was the perfect language to start programming with (it wasn't). More recently, he was the top student of his MSc at the University of Edinburgh, and joined NCR Edinburgh in February 2015, attracted by the highly technical environment and the fact that he could come to work at ten.
By day, he works as a Software Engineer in the Mobile Banking team, combining full blown server side Java with Agile development methodologies. By night, he ventures into the functional universe, using either Haskell or Clojure (it's not shown in this pic, but he also sports a full beard to boost his functional programming street cred).
Outside of work, Fabio can generally be found playing music on various instruments. Also, he's been playing competitive basketball for quite some time, so most years he's likely to be a member of a basketball team. Although he finds Edinburgh stunning, he can't help but miss the many consecutive days of sunshine and proper pizza that he is accustomed to due to his Neapolitan upbringing.
