"There are 10 kinds of people in the world: who understands binary and who does not" is probably the phrase the better sums up Francesco's character. He loves computer programming and solving problems and he thinks that geeky jokes are the best.
He studied computer science in Italy ever since he was in high school and at university he prepared his thesis on an exciting subject (if you are a normal person read "boring stuff") about theoretical computer science on the formal verification of security properties on concurrent systems (again: read "boring stuff").
He moved in Edinburgh in March 2015 and finally managed to find other beings of his own species at NCR (aka: other geeky programmers).
When he was young he studied the violin but after three years he decided it was not cool enough... so he started to self study the piano, which is clearly much more cooler.
Apart of computer programming he loves classical music, ragtime, science fiction, fantasy books, maths, physics, Doctor Who and cooking not necessarily in this order.
We are sorry for the ancient photo but when asked for it he answered: "Photos are against my religion"... So we must stick with this which is, by his own admission, "My greatest achievement so far". If you know what he is talking about please let us know...
