After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Journalism in 2013, this native son of Inverness lead a nomadic work life that included completing two, six month projects fighting doorstep crime with Highland Council Trading Standards (not laterally, it involved setting up community schemes and web authoring), Work experience with the BBC where his dulcet tones were heard on local and national radio and most recently, working as Communications Officer for his local Member of Parliament.
James has considerable experience in customer service, starting from his first job as an artist of sandwiches while he was still in school. This lead to six years in hotel leisure clubs where they let him wear shorts and trainers to work (AKA “the dream”). He is looking forward to the challenge of combing customer service with his ability to write crisply and clearly to deliver for NCR’s customers.
James’s hobbies include consuming various liquids, such as the free coffee and juice available in the office or the selection of fine beverages available in Edinburgh’s pubs. This is counter balanced by various physical activities such as swimming, cycling, going to the gym and in the past, a year’s (unsuccessful) stint training as a pro wrestler. James also enjoys going to music and comedy gigs, anything to do with current affairs (he will bore you with this) and following Inverness Caledonian Thistle F.C. 0
