Kevin Cross

Kevin looks after the build and Continuous integration environments (mainly Jenkins, Jenkins build slaves, Sonar and Nexus), gets information about breaking builds out to the developers through various alerts and wallboards, sets up new builds for Maven, iOS, Android and JavaScript.

Kevin also troubleshoots build issues, improves build processes, helps automate integration testing using Continuous Deployment techniques. Kevin is also in charge of automated virtual machine construction and deployment using Chef, Packer, VirtualBox, Ganeti and some scripting glue.

He enjoys the collaborative atmosphere at NCR Edinburgh, with a cohesive team, low organisational friction and an openness to adopting new approaches to build and deployment.

Outside the office, Kevin is partial to walking trips and exploring Edinburgh's fine collection of real ale pubs.
