Sean joined NCR Edinburgh in August 2016 as a software engineer. The NCR role is his second job after graduating from Imperial College London in 2014, having being tempted away from the London life by new challenges, Edinburgh’s scenery, and NCR’s offer of free bacon rolls every Monday morning.
Sean’s development experience primarily lies in enterprise Java development, although he is now enjoying moving to a full-stack role, working with new technologies such as Angular 2. Sean also has a keen interest in information security, and plans to make use of NCR’s training days to attend InfoSec conferences and trainings, then applying this knowledge on his projects.
Outside of work, Sean’s hobbies include visiting the theatre, leisurely walks through parks and hills (he chose a flat that allows him to walk through the Meadows every day on the way to work), and being a slightly obsessive coffee snob. He also enjoys video games, despite being terrible at any game with a competitive element (as evidenced by his poor lunchtime Rocket League performances…)
