Elisabeth joined NCR Edinburgh in August 2016 as a Software Engineer and has since moved into a Solution Architecture role. The NCR position is her second job after graduating Imperial College London in 2014, having been tempted away from the London life by new challenges, Edinburgh’s scenery, and NCR’s offer of free bacon rolls every Monday morning.
Elisabeth’s development expertise was historically enterprise Java development, but since joining NCR she has enjoyed working with a wider variety of technologies including Node.js and Scala. Elisabeth also has a keen interest in information security, and ensuring security is at the heart of software architecture.
Outside of work, Elisabeth’s hobbies include visiting the theatre, leisurely walks through parks and hills (she chose a flat that allows her to walk through the Meadows every day on the way to work) and being slightly snobby about good coffee. She also enjoys video games and is a member of an amateur competitive Overwatch team.
