Last September we ran a two day Scala training event as part of our Launchpad series.
The event was hugely popular, with tickets selling out within 24 hours.
We like Scala, and there are clearly a lot of other interested people in Edinburgh, so we thought it would be good to put something together for the anyone that couldn't get tickets last time.
We're pleased to announce that Noel Welsh has kindly agreed to travel up on the 28th of March to run underscore's one day Scala introductory crash course - Essential Essential Scala.
Underscore have run this course before with great feedback, and apparently it will be even better this time.
The course is open for anyone with some programming experience to attend, but spaces will be in high demand.
As with the launchpad series there'll be a nominal ticket charge of about the cost of a pizza. By uncanny co-incidence pizza will be supplied on the day.
To make sure the tickets get spread around a little they'll be sold in batches. The best way to be notified when they're available is to follow myself, NCR Edinburgh or Noel on twitter.
For Scala old hands Noel will also be running an advanced 1 day scala course the day after on Monday the 30th. More details of this will be posted as soon as we have them.
Update
Tickets for Essential Essential Scala now available here
Tickets for the advanced Scala course are avilable here
